As a Supply Chain Business Operations Compliance Specialist – Level 5, you'll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. This position is FT remote.
Northrop Grumman Space Sector is seeking a Supply Chain Business Operations Compliance Specialist - Level 5 to serve as the sourcing organization’s liaison to compliance functions, lead peer review governance, and drive process standardization across procurement. This is a senior individual contributor role with high visibility across the sourcing team, focused on keeping the organization current on compliance requirements and audit-ready — not on owning compliance determinations, which remain with the compliance/regulatory organization.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Serves as the sourcing organization’s primary point of contact
and subject matter expert
with compliance and regulatory functions (e.g., FAR, DFARS, ITAR/EAR export control, CPSR, internal audit); confirm applicable frameworks for this orgMonitors compliance and procedure changes communicated by the compliance organization and translates them into practical guidance for the sourcing team
Establishes and leads a peer review Center of Excellence (COE) for procurement documentation and PO packages, including standards, checklists, and escalation criteria
Recruits, trains, and coordinates peer reviewers across the sourcing team
Performs reviews of high-dollar/high-risk PO packages prior to release to confirm alignment with current procedures; flags gaps to compliance and partners with buyers on remediation
Develops and delivers training to the sourcing team on procedure changes, compliance updates, and quality standards
Creates and maintains work instructions, guidance documents, and desktop procedures
Partners with various functions within GSC to close process gaps
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 12+ years of relevant experience in procurement, supply chain, contracts, or compliance – OR - Master’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience in procurement, supply chain, contracts, or compliance
Demonstrable strong working
knowledge of FAR and DFARSExperience in Aerospace & Defense
Demonstrated experience building or leading a review/quality program
Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience developing procedures and training materials
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with export control regulations (ITAR/EAR) and Contractor Purchasing
System Review (CPSR) requirements
Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
CPSM, CPSD, or equivalent procurement certification
Lean/Six Sigma or continuous process improvement background
Experience administering high-dollar-value purchase orders or subcontracts
Experience leading cross-functional projects within a global supply chain organization
Employee located near a Northrop Grumman Space facility such as BWI (Linthicum, MD), Dulles (Virginia), Chandler (Arizona), or Space Park (Los Angeles, California)
Primary Level Salary Range: $120,900.00 - $181,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
