Northrop Grumman is seeking to hire a Principal Supplier Mission Assurance Engineer to join the Supplier Mission Assurance team. This position will be located in Huntsville, AL.

Primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
Develop and implement supplier quality evaluation and control systems aligned with contract requirements and NG policies.
Assess and assure supplier processes and product quality, ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory, and technical standards.
Lead supplier risk management, including classification (Critical, Key, Standard), pre-award capability assessments, and source-selection evaluations.
Conduct supplier audits, performance assessments, and product/process verification activities; monitor performance trends and report risks to management.
Manage supplier non-conformances, waivers, deviations, and discrepancy reporting (Material Review Board); drive root-cause analysis and corrective-preventive actions.
Oversee source inspection and coordination with customers; verify completeness of End Item Data Packages and manufacturing travelers prior to shipment.
Maintain the approved supplier list and SAP Vendor/Part Master databases; utilize performance data and assessment tools to evaluate supplier capability.
Interface with program management, engineering, procurement, and supplier management to align procurements with mission-assurance objectives.
Communicate supplier performance, quality status, and risk updates to senior management and stakeholders.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80A. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors of Science degree and 5 years of relevant experience, OR a Masters degree and 3 years of relevant experience, OR a PhD and 1 year of relevant experience.
Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret Clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Experience developing, planning, and/or implementing quality methods/strategies for procured items to assure design, procurement, acceptance, and use.
Experience with AS9100/ISO9001 requirements
Ability to travel 25-50% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university
Active DoD Top Secret Clearance.
Lead auditor experience for AS9100/ISO9001 standards.
Extensive experience working with aerospace/defense industry suppliers onsite.
Six Sigma or Lean certifications.
Experience in root-cause analysis and corrective-action implementation.
Primary Level Salary Range: $98,900.00 - $148,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
