Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Structures Design Engineering and CAE Engineering to support Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
  • Design, develop, and commission automated joining equipment.
  • Plan and execute Design of Experiments (DoEs) to optimize joining manufacturability and quality.
  • Lead equipment installation, commissioning, and ramp-up of high-volume production lines.
  • Develop quality control plans, PFMEA, and dimensional improvement plans to achieve joining quality targets.
  • Prepare documentation for the handover package to ensure sustainability and optimization of production lines.
  • Work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, demonstrating strong decision-making skills.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Engineering, Materials Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in developing and launching welding and mechanical joining processes in automotive or electronics industries.
  • In-depth knowledge of welding, mechanical joining processes, equipment, and metallurgy.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in creating documentation of manufacturing processes.
  • Mastery of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experienced with AUTOCAD and CATIA 3DX.
  • Ability to analyze and summarize information effectively.
