Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Structures Design Engineering and CAE Engineering to support Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
- Design, develop, and commission automated joining equipment.
- Plan and execute Design of Experiments (DoEs) to optimize joining manufacturability and quality.
- Lead equipment installation, commissioning, and ramp-up of high-volume production lines.
- Develop quality control plans, PFMEA, and dimensional improvement plans to achieve joining quality targets.
- Prepare documentation for the handover package to ensure sustainability and optimization of production lines.
- Work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, demonstrating strong decision-making skills.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Engineering, Materials Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in developing and launching welding and mechanical joining processes in automotive or electronics industries.
- In-depth knowledge of welding, mechanical joining processes, equipment, and metallurgy.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in creating documentation of manufacturing processes.
- Mastery of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experienced with AUTOCAD and CATIA 3DX.
- Ability to analyze and summarize information effectively.
