Electrical Engineer - Power Studies, Associate Intern

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical engineering studies, including power factor analysis and harmonic modeling.
  • Conduct grounding analysis, short-circuit studies, and protective device coordination.
  • Provide engineering-related design and analysis.
  • Troubleshoot protective relaying and controls.
  • Collaborate with the Field Services team on various projects.
  • Interact with customers to gather information and review engineering plans.
  • Engage in hands-on activities with engineering and field service teams.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, preferably with a focus on Power Systems.
  • Willingness to work hands-on in the field alongside technicians.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Familiarity with power system modeling software (SKM, ETAP, ASPEN, EasyPower) is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of protective relay projects and power quality studies is a plus.
  • Utility design experience is also a plus.
