Responsibilities
- Perform electrical engineering studies, including power factor analysis, harmonic modeling, grounding analysis, and short-circuit studies.
- Provide engineering-related design, analysis, and studies.
- Design and troubleshoot protective relaying and controls.
- Work with the Field Services team on shutdown, startup, installation, and maintenance projects.
- Interact with customers to gather critical information and review engineering plans.
- Engage in hands-on engineering with the engineering and field service group.
- Maintain professional relationships with customers and co-workers.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, preferably with a focus on Power Systems.
- Willingness to work hands-on in the field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Experience with power system modeling software (e.g., SKM, ETAP, ASPEN, EasyPower) is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Knowledge of protective relay projects, short-circuit studies, and power quality studies is a plus.
- Utility design experience is a plus.
