Responsibilities

  • Closely work with key design teams to integrate their latest design data into a full simulation of customer missions.
  • Develop and leverage software tooling for optimizing launch and orbital trajectories of key customer missions.
  • Lead interdisciplinary design trade analyses to inform vehicle and mission decisions.
  • Define and maintain high-level vehicle and trajectory design requirements.
  • Carry out analysis for engineering design trades and drive design decisions based on results.
  • Implement, maintain, and improve software tooling in various programming languages.
  • Establish and lead cross-functional collaboration with key teams across Vehicle Engineering.

Job Requirements

  • An undergraduate or graduate degree (BS/MS/PhD) in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
  • Notable programming experience in modern languages (e.g., Python, Julia, Rust, C++).
  • Ability to communicate complex analysis results clearly to facilitate decision-making.
  • Familiarity with architectural design and analysis of launch vehicles or space systems.
  • Familiarity with trajectory design and optimization.
  • Experience with advanced software development practices (nice to have).
