Responsibilities
- Understand programmatic risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Evaluate and perform reviews of system safety analyses (e.g., FHAs, FMECAs, FTAs).
- Conduct reliability analyses and component reliability predictions.
- Assess safety products for compliance with safety processes and standards.
- Implement and maintain system safety processes, identifying improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with systems engineering teams to verify compliance with safety requirements.
- Generate metrics and report on program system safety status.
Job Requirements
- B.S. degree in aerospace, electrical, mechanical engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of engineering experience in the aerospace industry.
- Strong understanding of system safety, reliability, and risk management.
- Experience with regulatory compliance assessment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Experience working independently and as part of a team on rapid development programs.
