Responsibilities
- Cultivate a high-performing leadership team and manage engineering objectives.
- Own the node hardware architecture including mechanism selection and structural design.
- Drive hardware requirements and translate them into subsystem specifications.
- Lead design and industrialization of motion subsystems and in-situ metrology.
- Establish rigorous design processes and documentation standards.
- Build scalable calibration strategies and partner with software for automation.
- Partner with Manufacturing Engineering for prototype-to-production transitions.
Job Requirements
- Ph.D. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
- At least 7 years in developing complex robotics or advanced manufacturing systems.
- Demonstrated ownership of hardware systems from prototypes to production.
- Expertise in precision mechanism design and error budgeting.
- Strong command of GD&T and design for manufacturability.
- Experience with sensors and actuators integration.
- Proven track record in hardware test and validation frameworks.
