Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the engineering design team to understand mechanical needs of the rover.
- Design and analyze mechanical systems using simulation methods and test data.
- Define component requirements and communicate lunar operational constraints within the team.
- Make flight hardware selection decisions and develop integration build flow for the vehicle.
- Develop test plans to validate mechanical subsystems for flight and coordinate testing.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or STEM field.
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical system engineering.
- Experience with CAD software for part modeling and development.
- Experience with software packages for finite element modeling and analysis.
- Knowledge in design for manufacturing and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
