Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the engineering design team to address mechanical needs for the Astrolab rover.
- Design and analyze mechanical systems using software simulation methods and experimental data.
- Define component requirements and communicate lunar operational constraints within the team.
- Make decisions on flight hardware selection and develop integration processes for the vehicle.
- Develop test plans to validate mechanical subsystems, coordinating with test facilities.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a STEM field.
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical system engineering.
- Proficiency in CAD software for part modeling and development.
- Experience with finite element modeling and analysis software.
- Knowledge in design for manufacturing and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Preferred: Master’s degree in engineering.
- Preferred: Experience in engineering structures, mechanisms, and actuators.
