Responsibilities
- Develop manufacturing and integration processes for turbomachinery components and assemblies.
- Implement new manufacturing capabilities and resolve conflicting requirements creatively.
- Optimize existing processes based on measurement or test data.
- Design tooling and processes for rapid and repeatable balance correction methods.
- Drive innovative production processes to support high rate production targets.
- Collaborate with design/development engineers and fabrication shops to build and assemble parts.
- Resolve manufacturing discrepancies and work with the quality team for corrective actions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of experience in propulsion or power generation product design, development, fabrication, assembly, or test.
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience with turbomachinery or rotating machinery.
- Expertise in design for manufacturability and assembly.
- Experience in a medium/high-volume production environment in the aerospace industry.
- Willingness to travel up to 5%.
- Ability to work in a hands-on position with hardware on the floor.
