Responsibilities
- Develop the manufacturing and integration processes for turbomachinery components and assemblies in the Raptor engine.
- Implement new manufacturing capabilities and creatively resolve conflicting requirements.
- Optimize existing requirements and processes based on measurement or test data.
- Develop tooling and processes for rapid and repeatable balance correction methods.
- Drive innovative production processes to achieve high rate production targets.
- Collaborate with design/development engineers and fabrication shops to build and assemble parts.
- Resolve manufacturing discrepancies and work with the quality team to implement corrective actions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of industry experience in propulsion or power generation product design, development, fabrication, assembly, or test.
- 3+ years of experience with turbomachinery or rotating machinery (preferred).
- Expertise in design for manufacturability and assembly.
- Experience in medium/high-volume production within the aerospace industry.
- Hands-on position requiring physical activity and willingness to travel.
- Ability to work in a dynamic team environment.
