Job Summary
YES Electric is seeking an experienced and motivated Project Foreman to oversee electrical construction projects from start to finish. The Project Foreman is responsible for supervising field crews, coordinating daily work activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead electrical crews on commercial, industrial, and energy projects.
- Plan, organize, and assign daily work activities to maximize productivity.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and electrical drawings.
- Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, inspectors, and customers.
- Ensure all work complies with NEC, local codes, and company quality standards.
- Maintain a safe work environment and enforce OSHA safety regulations.
- Monitor project schedules, labor hours, and material usage.
- Order and track materials, tools, and equipment needed for projects.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate apprentice and journeyman electricians.
- Conduct daily jobsite meetings and safety briefings.
- Troubleshoot field issues and resolve problems efficiently.
- Complete daily reports, timekeeping, and project documentation.
- Perform quality inspections and ensure work is completed correctly before project closeout.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred (as required by state/local regulations).
- Minimum of 5 years of electrical construction experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or foreman role.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and OSHA safety requirements.
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficient with basic computer and mobile technology for reporting and communication.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Frequent standing, walking, climbing ladders, kneeling, bending, and lifting.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces when required.
