Summary:
Teledyne
FLIR

Elkridge,
MD
designs
and
manufactures
advanced
robotic,
surveillance,
and
security
technologies.
We
are
seeking
a
Quality
Control
Inspector
to
inspect
incoming
machined,
fabricated,
and
electronic
components
used
in
our
products.
This
role
supports
production
quality
by
performing
inspections,
reviewing
documentation,
identifying
nonconforming
material,
and
working
with
cross-functional
teams
in
an
ISO
9001-certified
manufacturing
environment.
Primary
Job
Duties
&
Responsibilities:
Inspect
incoming
parts
and
materials
in
accordance
with
inspection
requirements,
engineering
drawings,
specifications,
and
quality
standards.
Perform
visual
and
dimensional
inspections
using
precision
measuring
tools
including
calipers,
micrometers,
depth
gauges,
and
other
inspection
equipment.
Verify
supplier
documentation
and
First
Article
Inspection
(FAI)
packages
when
required.
Review
and
process
nonconforming
material,
document
findings,
and
support
disposition
activities
with
Production,
Engineering,
Purchasing,
and
Quality
teams.
Enter
inspection
results
and
quality
data
into
company
systems
and
generate
reports
as
needed.
Read
and
interpret
mechanical
drawings
and
specifications.
Help
ensure
compliance
with
company
quality
procedures
and
ISO
9001
requirements.
Communicate
effectively
with
internal
teams
and
suppliers
to
resolve
quality
issues.
Maintain
accurate
inspection
records
and
documentation.
Perform
other
duties
as
assigned.
Required Job
Qualifications:
High
school
diploma
or
equivalent.
2+
years
of
experience
in
manufacturing,
quality
inspection,
machining,
assembly,
production,
or
a
related
technical
environment.
Ability
to
read
and
interpret
mechanical
drawings
and
specifications.
Experience
using
inspection
and
measurement
tools
such
as
calipers,
micrometers,
and
gauges.
Strong
attention
to
detail
and
organizational
skills.
Proficiency
with
Microsoft
Office
applications.
Strong
verbal
and
written
communication
skills.
Ability
to
lift
up
to
50
pounds
and
stand
for
extended
periods
as
needed.
Strongly Preferred Job Qualifications:
Experience
with
GD&T
(Geometric
Dimensioning
&
Tolerancing).
Familiarity
with
First
Article
Inspection
(FAI)
documentation.
Knowledge
of
machined
parts,
metal
fabrication
processes,
and
fasteners.
Familiarity
with
welding
processes
and
weld
inspection
techniques.
Experience
working
in
an
ISO
9001,
AS9100,
or
similar
quality-managed
manufacturing
environment.
Experience
using
SAP,
SharePoint,
or
similar
business
systems.
Experience
with
optical
measurement
systems
such
as
Keyence
equipment.

Salary Range:
$48,400.00-$64,500.000
