Job Description

At Teledyne Relays, part of Teledyne Defense Electronics, you’ll help advance high-reliability electromechanical products used across aerospace, defense, industrial, and other demanding applications.

We’re looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Engineering Manager who enjoys solving complex problems, developing talented people and turning ideas into measurable improvements on the factory floor.

In this visible leadership role, you’ll shape manufacturing strategy, guide process and automation investments, and build the capabilities needed for a world-class operation.

What You’ll Own

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of manufacturing engineers and maintenance professionals.
  • Create a culture of accountability, collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Strengthen organizational capability through practical coaching, training, and talent development.
  • Deliver measurable gains in throughput, quality, cost, equipment performance, and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Lead root-cause investigations and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
  • Use SPC, process capability analysis, KPIs, and other manufacturing data to prioritize decisions and track results.
  • Champion Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement across the operation.
  • Improve the uptime, reliability, and utilization of manufacturing assets.
  • Partner with Operations and Engineering to assess automation opportunities and emerging manufacturing technologies.
  • Turn complex technical issues into clear, actionable recommendations for leaders and stakeholders.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Five or more years of leadership experience in manufacturing or process engineering.
  • A record of leading manufacturing process improvements and delivering measurable results.
  • Strong knowledge of process control, production support, and operational excellence.
  • Experience implementing engineering solutions that improve quality, efficiency, and manufacturing performance.
  • Clear, credible communication skills and the ability to influence across all levels of an organization.

Great to Have

  • Experience in electromechanical manufacturing.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, medical, or another regulated manufacturing industry.
  • Working knowledge of statistical process control, process capability analysis, and continuous improvement methods.
  • Experience improving manufacturing and test equipment reliability.
  • Curiosity about evolving manufacturing technologies and a commitment to continuous learning.

Salary Range: $113,600.00-$151,400.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
