The
Munitions
Program Manager2will
be responsible for
delivery of all contractual requirements on cost and on schedule, while achieving all technical requirements and creating customer intimacy to develop further opportunities.
This role requires deep technical
expertise
in munitions, proven program management acumen, and the ability to
operate
within a secure, classified environment.
Success hinges on building deep, trusted relationships with customers, nurturing high
performing
cross
functional
teams, and unlocking new business opportunities. Reporting to the Program Director, you will guide multiple programs across the business
unit pipeline from proposal through close
out.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
:
Customer Partnership
Establish and sustain trusted, “
customer
intimate
” relationships that uncover future opportunities.
Lead negotiations, contract changes, and
scope
control
board actions while preserving strong rapport.
Business Development
Drive
long
term
strategic and capture planning.
Shape proposals, business cases, and capture plans that win new work.
Program Organization
Build and align Integrated Program Teams (IPT) with the right internal and external partners.
Define clear program structures, roles, and responsibilities.
Execution & Control
Own cost, schedule, and technical performance using Earned Value Management (EVM) or equivalent tools.
Set, track, and report critical performance metrics and baseline schedules.
Manage budgets, resources, and workforce planning.
Communication & Stakeholder Management
Produce compelling briefings and presentations for customers, senior leadership, and joint
review boards.
Maintain a disciplined
information
flow
process—collect, store, share, and retrieve program data efficiently.
Risk & Opportunity Management
Lead systematic risk identification, mitigation, and exploitation throughout the lifecycle.
Maintain a transparent risk register and communicate impacts promptly.
Technical Leadership
Oversee design concepts, engineering integration, test, and production processes.
Author, review, and finalize the Program Statement of Work and requirement packages.
Supplier & Quality Management
Partner with vendors to guarantee quality, schedule, and cost targets.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and contractual terms.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace, or related field

Degree in Science, Engineering, or Business.

range operations
Experience in aerospace/defense, DoD, or NASA programs.
PMP® certification.
Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile methodologies.
Active security clearance.

Primary Level Salary Range: $153,800.00 - $230,800.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
