Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Fulgurite Principal Systems Engineer for Modeling, Simulation and Analysis (MS&A). This position is located in Roy, Utah.

What You'll Get To Do:
The selected candidate will be working for the Strategic Deterrent Systems Flight Systems Futures organization. We focus on Hypersonic re-entry and advanced payloads. This specific role will be focused on trajectory analysis and generation for our hypersonic systems to support test, development, and analysis.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline with a minimum 5 years of related experience; 3 years with a Master’s; or 1 years with a PhD.
Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
Experience with modeling, simulation, and analysis experience of Aerospace Vehicles; to include hypersonic platforms
Experience with generation of 6-DoF trajectories for hypersonic platforms
Experience with trajectory analysis for boost phase ascent
Demonstrated history of analysis and visualization of data
Programming experience with one of the following: C++, MATLAB, python, Fortran
Experience using Git for version control
Excellent technical writing skills
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Active U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope
Proficiency with C++, MATLAB, and python
Experience using TAOS to model trajectories
Experience using AFSIM for mission level simulations
Experience using STK for red/blue modelling

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Primary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
