Senior NPI Program Manager
Job Description
About Mytra:
We’re creating an entirely new way to solve the most ubiquitous problem in industry - moving and storing material. We’re applying robotics and distributed software to create a new class of product for this $1T market. We’re focused on the supply chain industry first. The industry is in a massive bind with the continued growth of e-commerce, sharp rise in costs, and supply chain disruptions. What has been a “sleepy” industry for decades is now at the epicenter of sustaining the global economy.
About the role
As a Senior NPI Program Manager at Mytra, you will join our Manufacturing team during a period of significant growth and product development. Our team is currently focused on development of our next generation Mytra system, and we need a driven program manager to own the build itself - taking the product from BOM release through EVT, DVT, and PVT and out the door to customer sites. We move fast, learn as we go, and iterate quickly, and that pace only works with robust processes underneath it to keep small misses from becoming big downstream problems.
What you’ll do:
Drive manufacturing readiness - Own the end-to-end manufacturing launch plan for each build: build plan, manufacturing engineering deliverables, PFMEA, DFx feedback to engineering, production tester development, tooling, and line readiness, from BOM release through shipment to site
Shape the equipment and tooling roadmap - Partner with Manufacturing Engineering to develop their equipment program plan: production testers, fixtures, and capital equipment phased across EVT, DVT, PVT, and ramp, so capability lands ahead of the build that needs it
Own the implementation of every change - Manage ECO implementation end to end: disposition built material, drive changes onto the line, and keep the program team current on cut-in status and what it means for the build
Clear issues before they stop the build - Drive resolution of build and readiness issues across Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Warehouse & Materials. Containment first, then RCCA to keep them closed
Build for scale - Partner across Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Warehouse & Materials to develop the NPI processes, tooling, and infrastructure that scale with the business, building durable capability rather than one-off fixes for the build in front of you
Ideal Candidates:
Have proven experience owning NPI builds for complex electromechanical hardware - 5-8+ years taking dense, multi-hundred-line BOM products through E/D/PVT into ramp
Have deep working knowledge of manufacturing launch deliverables - PFMEA, process and fixture development, manufacturing test, DFx, ECO implementation and material disposition, and the PLM/ERP systems that run it
Have built NPI or manufacturing launch processes and systems from near-scratch, not just operated within established ones; you're familiar with manufacturing processes, build execution, and cross-functional launch planning
Demonstrate relentless anticipation and ownership - you see problems weeks out and drive resolution across teams, and you want to help shape the function in a fast-moving startup, pivoting as you learn
Have a BS in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline, and bring startup speed with real process discipline
Nice to have:
Experience launching a product at a contract manufacturer, or supporting a transition from in-house build to CM
Hands-on time with robotics, warehouse automation, or other complex electromechanical hardware
Background in production control, build scheduling, or clear-to-build execution through high ECO churn in an early-stage hardware environment
Experience deploying complex industrial equipment: planning, site installation, commissioning, and bring-up through to handoff
A Final Note:
If this role excites you, we encourage you to apply — even if you don’t check every box. At Mytra, we build bots, but we hire humans. We value thoughtful challengers who communicate with clarity and respect, and we’re lifelong learners committed to getting better every day. We move fast, learn faster, and show up for each other under pressure. The best outcomes come from diverse perspectives working together to build something meaningful and built to last.
Benefits Include:
Competitive compensation and equity grants at a high-growth company backed by top-tier VCs
Fully subsidized health coverage, including medical (baseline plans), dental, and vision for employees and dependents
401(k) plans and employer-subsidized life insurance
Fully subsidized lunch and snacks at HQ—we eat and share stories together at the “long” table
Generous PTO and company-paid holidays, including one week over the winter break so everyone can recharge together
Voluntary pet insurance, Voluntary Life Insurance, Accident, Critical Illness, and Hospital Indemnity
Fully subsidized tax advisory services and education to help you understand your equity
Commuter benefits, including up to a $150 monthly commuter benefit
Lively, modern combined office and lab space where we rapidly iterate through design, build, and test phases
Fully equipped onsite gym and showers at headquarters
