PDM & CAD Manager
Job Description
About Mytra:
We’re creating an entirely new way to solve the most ubiquitous problem in industry - moving and storing material. We’re applying robotics and distributed software to create a new class of product for this $1T market. We’re focused on the supply chain industry first. The industry is in a massive bind with the continued growth of e-commerce, sharp rise in costs, and supply chain disruptions. What has been a “sleepy” industry for decades is now at the epicenter of sustaining the global economy.
About the role
As our PDM & CAD Administrator, you will own and maintain Mytra's product data management infrastructure and CAD environment across the full hardware development lifecycle. You'll be the central authority on Onshape administration, engineering change processes, BOM integrity, and CAD best practices — enabling our mechanical and manufacturing teams to move fast without sacrificing accuracy, traceability, or data quality.
What you’ll do:
Onshape Administration
Manage user access, permissions, and general Onshape platform administration
Own and maintain process documents and OTS workflows
Administer part numbering systems and processes
Prepare and execute Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and release administration
Maintain material and items library
Develop and deliver CAD/PDM process training across the engineering org
CAD Maintenance & Cleanup
Maintain master models with variations representing sub-component releases
Keep master models current with engineering updates, including POR designs and ECR/ECO candidate variants
Manage COTS parts library and actively prevent duplication
Own CAD/PDM best practices across the organization
Update and enforce drawing standards
Manufacturing Engineering Interface
Structure and populate MBOMs in Onshape in close collaboration with manufacturing engineering
ECO Administration
Pre-release COTS parts to prevent ECO blockages
Assign part properties; manage ECO prep and review
Conduct clash checks, fastener presence validation, and related quality checks
Perform BOM checking, drawing checking, and revision control
Electrical Integration
Import and link electrical board designs to Arena releases
Provide Altium administrative support
Drafting
Prepare engineering drawings and perform tolerance analysis
Conduct drawing quality checks, including AI-assisted review scripts
Ideal Candidates:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical field — or equivalent hands-on experience
2+ years of experience as a PDM/CAD Administrator or in a similar role within a hardware engineering environment
Proficiency in Onshape; experience with Arena PLM is a strong plus
Experience with Solidworks & Catia is an asset
Demonstrated experience with ECO/ECR processes and revision control workflows
Strong understanding of BOM structures, including EBOM and MBOM management
Solid grasp of engineering drawing standards, GD&T, and tolerance analysis
Exceptional attention to detail and a systematic approach to data quality and process ownership
Clear communicator who can train and guide engineers on PDM/CAD workflows
Nice to have:
Experience with Altium or similar electrical design management platforms
Familiarity with AI-assisted CAD or drawing review workflows
Background working in a fast-paced robotics, automation, or mechatronics company
Experience developing and delivering internal CAD/PDM training programs
A Final Note:
If this role excites you, we encourage you to apply — even if you don’t check every box. At Mytra, we build bots, but we hire humans. We value thoughtful challengers who communicate with clarity and respect, and we’re lifelong learners committed to getting better every day. We move fast, learn faster, and show up for each other under pressure. The best outcomes come from diverse perspectives working together to build something meaningful and built to last
