The Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization powers Microsoft's global cloud infrastructure by managing end-to-end supply chain functions, including planning, sourcing, manufacturing, delivery, supportability, sustainability, and asset lifecycle management. CSCP enables the infrastructure that supports Microsoft Azure and many of Microsoft's largest cloud services serving customers around the world. Our global datacenter network spans more than 300 datacenters across 90+ countries, supporting over one billion customers.

Within CSCP, the Cloud Sourcing, Security, and Sustainability (CS3) organization drives sourcing strategy, supplier management, and sustainability initiatives that help ensure a resilient, cost-effective, and scalable supply chain. By partnering across engineering, operations, and supplier ecosystems, CS3 enables reliable delivery of cloud infrastructure while supporting Microsoft's goals for operational excellence, responsible growth, and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) execution across key program milestones, ensuring readiness throughout the silicon development and manufacturing lifecycle.

• Develop and execute silicon supply chain strategies, including business models, capacity planning, capital investment planning, and supply readiness to support product launches and manufacturing scale-up.

• Perform scenario planning and risk analysis to evaluate supply chain tradeoffs, identify constraints, and support data-driven decision making.

• Drive capital, material, and equipment planning to support manufacturing ramp, long-term growth, and operational readiness.

• Manage program execution by tracking milestones, timelines, dependencies, risks, and overall program health, while providing regular updates to stakeholders and leadership.

• Partner with suppliers to support onboarding, integration, manufacturing readiness, and deployment activities required for high-volume production.'

• Develop reporting, metrics, and analytical insights to identify risks, bottlenecks, opportunities, and process improvements across the supply chain.

• Drive alignment and resolution of critical design, operational, and supply chain decisions impacting product delivery, manufacturing readiness, or engineering execution.

• Lead cross-functional workstreams across engineering, sourcing, operations, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure successful execution against program objectives.

• Assess and manage upstream and downstream dependencies across the silicon development lifecycle to proactively identify risks and maintain program schedules.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Business, Project Management, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years experience in project management, operations, or engineering

  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Project Management, Supply Chain, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years experience in project management, operations, or engineering

  • OR equivalent experience. 

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience leading New Product Introduction (NPI) programs for silicon development and manufacturing readiness.

• Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and supplier ecosystems, including wafer fabrication, OSAT (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test), substrate suppliers, and test operations.

• Experience operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments and managing ambiguity across complex programs.

• Program and project management experience in a technical, engineering, manufacturing, or supply chain environment.

• Experience managing supplier engagements, contracts, and milestone execution related to silicon development and manufacturing.

• Ability to bridge engineering, business, and supply chain priorities to drive alignment, decision-making, and execution.

• Degree in Engineering, Semiconductor Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Supply Chain Engineering, or a related technical field.

Technical Solution Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $97,600 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $125,000 - $206,400 per year.
