Job Description

As an Assembly Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of a manufacturing department. Your primary focus will be on maximizing productivity and minimizing costs, while ensuring product quality and promoting a safe and efficient work environment. You will serve as a key leader on the floor, with authority over personnel actions and responsibility for guiding team performance and engagement.

Shift: First

What You’ll Do

  • Assign and coordinate the work of hourly production employees to meet safety, quality, and production goals.

  • Maintain logs of shift activities and prepare daily reports, including timekeeping, production summaries, downtime, and overtime records.

  • Monitor production output and inspect products to ensure specifications and quality standards are met.

  • Review schedules and resource needs, making necessary staffing or material adjustments to meet targets.

  • Recommend improvements to processes, equipment, materials, or procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Train and mentor new employees on manufacturing procedures, safety standards, and company policies.

  • Support and enforce company policies, safety protocols, and standard operating procedures.

What You’ll Need

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education or technical training is a plus.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.

  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced setting.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide feedback, resolve conflicts, and foster a positive team culture.

  • Solid problem-solving skills and sound judgment in decision-making.

  • Familiarity with manufacturing systems, production reporting, and timekeeping tools.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods during shifts.

  • Regularly required to bend, reach, and lift up to 35 pounds.
