At KLA, the Electrical Engineering Manager leads a multidisciplinary team responsible for the electrical and controls architecture of advanced reticle inspection platforms, including EUV Actinic systems. This role combines technical leadership, team development, and product execution across the full development lifecycle—from early architecture through system integration and production release.

Working closely with Mechanical, Optical, Systems, Software, Manufacturing, and Service Engineering teams, this leader helps guide technical decisions, removes obstacles, develops engineering talent, and supports the delivery of highly integrated semiconductor capital equipment.

Responsibilities

The Electrical Engineering Manager provides leadership for the design and integration of electrical interconnect systems, power distribution, control systems, and overall electrical architecture. The role includes managing and developing a team of engineers, supporting system-level design decisions, and driving resolution of complex technical challenges through structured problem-solving approaches.

Success in this position requires balancing technical depth with people leadership while ensuring designs meet performance, reliability, manufacturability, serviceability, safety, and cost objectives. The role also supports compliance with applicable industry standards, customer requirements, and product certification activities.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates typically bring experience leading engineering teams or complex technical projects within semiconductor equipment, industrial automation, robotics, precision instrumentation, aerospace, medical devices, or similar industries.

Desired experience includes:

  • Electrical system design for complex electro-mechanical equipment

  • AC/DC power distribution and control systems

  • PLC platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Beckhoff, or similar technologies

  • Electrical interconnect and cable architecture

  • Cross-functional product development environments

  • Root cause analysis and structured problem-solving methodologies

Experience with semiconductor capital equipment, ultra-high vacuum systems, precision motion control, EtherCAT-based controls, or advanced imaging systems is beneficial but not required.

Candidates who do not meet every qualification listed are encouraged to apply.

Why KLA
