Lean Manufacturing: Implements manufacturing process improvements, identifies opportunities for cost reduction, lead-time reduction, inventory reduction and quality improvement. Evaluates current machinery and layout and recommends improvements that enhance productivity and safety.

As a Lean Manufacturing Specialist II, you will drive continuous improvement and lean initiatives across our manufacturing operations in Fremont and globally. You will implement manufacturing process improvements, identify opportunities for cost reduction, lead-time reduction, inventory reduction, and quality improvement. Additionally, you will evaluate current machinery and facility layout, recommending enhancements to improve productivity and safety. You will report directly to the Manager of Manufacturing Operations.

You will

  • Deliver weekly in-class Lean training to engineers, supervisors, managers, and production operators.
  • Organize and present Lean initiative updates to senior management twice weekly.
  • Guide teams in creating and executing improvement documentation such as miniA3s and A3s.
  • Develop detailed cost-saving analyses and clearly communicate these results to senior management.
  • Administer and maintain Lean documentation on SharePoint.
  • Organize and facilitate quarterly Lean recognition events across different shifts.
  • Participate actively in bi-weekly meetings with Lean leadership to discuss and present Kaizen events.
  • Lead and coordinate monthly Lean meetings during evening hours.

You have

  • Proven expertise in data manipulation and reporting tools including MS Excel, Power BI, and SQL.
  • Practical experience in structured problem-solving methodologies like PDCA, DMAIC, or 8D.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in value stream mapping and process improvement activities.
  • Experience in generating standardized weekly reports and clearly visualizing metrics and improvements.
  • Strong capability to document, follow, train, and audit procedures effectively.
  • Experience working hands-on within a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in developing presentations for diverse management levels.
