PageWide Industrial Hardware Planning Analyst
PageWide Industrial Hardware Planning Analyst
Description - The PWI Hardware Planning Analyst ensures that press hardware, compute systems, upgrades, and third-party components are available to support worldwide manufacturing, customer installations, and installed-base commitments. The role translates demand and program schedules into executable supply plans, while coordinating across procurement, manufacturing, inventory control, logistics, engineering, program management, regional operations, sales, and services.
This position operates in a dynamic, low-volume, high-value environment with long lead times and deal-driven demand. Success requires strong planning fundamentals, disciplined execution, sound judgment under uncertainty, and the ability to move confidently between detailed transactional work and executive-level business discussions.
Responsibilities
Demand and supply planning: Balance forecasted and actual demand against supply; identify shortages, excess, aging inventory, and material risks; prioritize backlog and constrained supply; and escalate issues with recommended actions.
Hardware availability and installation readiness: Align press, compute, upgrade, and third-party hardware availability with build and installation schedules. Coordinate schedule changes, customer requirements, and recovery plans with key stakeholders.
Order and procurement execution: Create, manage, and monitor planned orders, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, work orders, and subcontract purchase orders. Track supplier commitments, lead times, and material availability through execution.
Inventory management and control: Monitor inventory value, location, ownership, aging, and excess. Support inventory targets, cycle counts, discrepancy resolution, categorization, rebalancing, and disposition decisions.
Cross-functional coordination: Serve as the planning focal point across procurement, manufacturing, inventory control, logistics, engineering, program management, regional operations, sales, and services. Drive clear decisions, ownership, and follow-through.
Data analysis and reporting: Analyze forecasts, backlog, shortages, inventory, schedule changes, and planning KPIs. Convert data into concise operational and management-level insights and recommendations.
Product and BOM change management: Monitor product configuration, material master, and BOM changes that affect supply, builds, ordering, or installation readiness. Maintain traceability and ensure planning signals reflect the current configuration.
Process improvement and knowledge transfer: Simplify and automate manual workflows, improve data quality and controls, document standard work, and develop reusable training and reporting tools.
Required Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain PO-line detail as well as aggregate business outlooks.
Strong cross-functional leadership, stakeholder management, negotiation, conflict resolution, and escalation discipline.
High ownership, attention to detail, follow-through, and comfort operating in a fast-changing environment.
Process-improvement mindset with demonstrated ability to simplify, standardize, document, or automate work.
Proficiency in data preparation and reporting using Excel and Power Query; experience with automation or analytical scripting is beneficial.
Ability to create clear operational documentation, training content, and executive-ready summaries.
