Are you a Project Director with a track record of delivering

large EPC substation, transmission, and grid infrastructure projects?

Hitachi Energy is seeking a

Grid Integration Project Director to lead some of the most complex and impactful energy projects in North America. Based in

Raleigh, North Carolina, you'll oversee multi-million-dollar EPC programs that strengthen the power grid, enable renewable integration, and support the growing demand for reliable energy infrastructure.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex EPC substation and grid integration projects

  • Manage project scope, budget, schedule, risk, and customer expectations throughout the project lifecycle

  • Drive coordination across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and supply chain teams

  • Maintain project financial performance, including forecasting, cash flow, revenue recognition, and profitability

  • Utilize Earned Value Management and key performance metrics to drive execution excellence

  • Manage customer relationships and serve as the primary escalation point for project delivery

  • Support contract negotiation, change order management, claims mitigation, and commercial strategy

  • Provide executive-level reporting and communication to stakeholders

  • Ensure compliance with all internal and external regulations, procedures, and quality standards

Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field

  • 8+ years of project management experience in complex industrial, utility, infrastructure, or EPC environments

  • Demonstrated experience leading

    high-voltage substation projects, transmission projects, or utility-scale EPC programs
  • Strong understanding of project financials, forecasting, contract management, and risk mitigation

  • Experience managing customer relationships on large capital projects

  • Prior people leadership experience within a matrixed or multinational organization preferred

  • PMP certification preferred

  • Strong technical, commercial, and leadership capabilities

  • Must have authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
