Position Summary

The VP of Product Management for

Integrated Optic

s

(IO) owns the product management and marketing charter for GF's optical products portfolio, spanning

optical

engine

,

advanced

optical

packaging, and adjacent integrated optical technologies. This leader defines and drives the product roadmap, market and customer strategy, and business case for IO, partnering closely with

customer/

account teams,

end-market

teams,

product

development,

and program

management

to translate market opportunity into a coherent technology and product plan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end product management strategy for the

    Integrated Optical

    portfolio, including roadmap definition, market segmentation, and business case development.
  • Lead product marketing and positioning for IO, translating technical capability (silicon photonics,

    fiber connect,

    optical

    packaging) into customer-facing value propositions.
  • Partner with

    development

    team leaders

    to align product requirements with technology and manufacturing capability.
  • Work with Customer, Ecosystem and Technical Program Management to ensure customer and ecosystem partner needs are reflected in the product roadmap.

  • Build and lead a product management team, including hiring into open roles as the function scales.

  • Represent

    theIO product strategy to executive leadership, including the SVP of

    Integrated Optical

    and the broader

    IO

    leadership team.
  • Drive pricing, positioning, and go-to-market strategy in coordination with sales and business development.

  • Contribute product-level input to workforce planning, investment prioritization, and strategic initiatives for the IO organization.

  • Establish product management processes, metrics, and governance where none currently exist.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or related technical field; MBA or advanced degree a plus.

  • 12+ years of experience in product management or product marketing within semiconductors, photonics, or related technology industries.

  • Demonstrated experience owning a product roadmap and P&L-relevant business case from concept through market launch.

  • Experience operating in a matrixed organization, influencing without direct authority across engineering, manufacturing, and business development functions.

  • Track record building or scaling a product management function or team.

  • Strong executive presence and communication skills, with experience presenting to SVP/VP-level stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience in silicon photonics, optical packaging, or optical communications products.

  • Experience working within a global semiconductor manufacturing environment (fab operations, NPI, or wafer product lines).

  • Familiarity with customer and ecosystem partnership models in optical or photonics markets.

Expected Salary Range

$236,000.00 - $410,000.00
