Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Quality Supervisor in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The Quality Supervisor supervises, and coordinates activities related to the Quality Assurance Inspection function, on the manufacturing floor. Quarantine and disposition of nonconforming goods, while ensuring the policies and processes are followed.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Ensure new products are designed for manufacturability (DFM) and meet all quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations before mass production begins.

  • Perform visual, dimensional, and functional checks on pilot units to verify conformance to engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Record and escalate quality discrepancies, execute First Article Inspections (FAI), and support First Pass Yield (FPY) tracking.
  • Assist engineers in developing build instructions, validating test fixtures, and documenting assembly processes.
  • Lead Design for Manufacturing/Assembly (DFM/DFA) and establish process risk management controls like pFMEA and Control Plans
  • Lead problem-solving sessions (e.g., 8D, Fishbone, 5-Why) to resolve quality issues that arise during initial production runs
  • Train production staff on new defect awareness, IPC standards, and specialized inspection techniques.
  • Lead quality meetings with customers to describe the issues and actions taken

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • 5 years of quality and 3 years of leadership experience

  • New Product Introduction (NPI) and product lifecycle readiness.

  • Quality Methodologies: APQP, PPAP, Control Plans, MSA, PFMEA

    , QCP, PQP, Non- Conformance material reports experience

  • Standards & Compliance: ISO 9001
  • Problem Solving: Root Cause Analysis (RCA), CAPA, 8D, Six Sigma
  • Manufacturing & Tools: SPC, Lean Manufacturing
  • IPC610 experience prefer
