Job objective:
This is an exciting role in a growing company. The ideal candidate for the position is someone from a hands-on manufacturing background has experience in electro-mechanical assembly, structural integration, and production supervision. This role will lead a group of manufacturing technicians within Epirus. This person will be responsible for day-to-day employee and work management, strategic training initiatives, verification of operating work instructions, and validation of builds to meet customer deliveries. This individual will also serve as a technical working lead, with 30% of the role also spent contributing to hardware build.
Duties:
Manage a team of assembly technicians through daily coaching, annual reviews, and career development
Set and achieve daily/weekly/monthly team objectives based on department priorities communicate these effectively to the team
Organize daily work scopes by assigning clear priorities. Create operating procedures for standard work on the floor.
Ensure safe use of manufacturing equipment and collaborate with calibration techs for equipment or tooling calibration
Train employees on new skills and maintain a training matrix to track technician progression and qualify work
Collaborate with the continuous improvement engineering team to implement new equipment and efficiency improvements
Work in a fast-paced agile environment and adapt to evolving design and production challenges
Interface with technicians, procurement, engineering, and leadership daily
Drive accountability, respect, commitment, and speed with discipline to achieve Epirus’s manufacturing goals
Required Qualifications:
2+
years experience
in a supervisory role
(or equivalent experience)
High school diploma; degree in technical or engineering field
Knowledge of Environmental, Health, and Safety elements, especially related to RF testing
Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
Good written and oral communication skills
Collaborative and people-oriented; capable of working across all levels of the organization
Advanced skills in MS Office at a minimum
US Citizen and/or Permanent Resident (future security clearance may be
required
)
Desired Qualifications:
Aerospace/Defense experience and/or military experience
Use of
MES, ERP systems (
iON
and Oracle preferred)
Knowledge of Production Systems and Lean Manufacturing elements
Geometric dimensioning and tolerances
Understanding of how MRP works in product development and production environments
Experience with ISO9001/AS9100 quality management systems elements
Sets good examples with attendance, positive attitude, and task engagement

As required by the Equal Pay Transparency Act, Epirus provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
For the state of California only, the range of starting pay for this role is:
