Role Overview:
We are looking for a high-energy and detail-oriented Production Expeditor to join our team. In this role, you will coordinate daily and weekly production schedules, expedite material shortages, manage work order documentation and coordinate material movements. You will serve as the link between planning, procurement, warehouse and manufacturing to keep operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handling the end-to-end administrative flow of work orders, including printing, organizing, and distributing packets to the appropriate build areas.
- Working side-by-side with production leads to schedule specific build areas and ensure daily/weekly/monthly output targets are met.
- Coordinating closely with the Warehouse and Purchasing teams to track down missing parts and prioritize the "picking" of materials to match the immediate needs of the floor.
- Manage WIP and physical build progress to resolve production bottlenecks while providing stakeholders with real-time status updates and reliable completion forecasts.
- Ensuring that all completed work is properly closed out in the system and that material usage is accurately reported, including daily/weekly production status reports.
- Ensuring all planning activities align with company quality standards, safety procedures, and EROCK Core Values.
Requirements
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
- 3+ years of production planning, scheduling, or shop floor control experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP software (Business Central, NetSuite, SAP, etc) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and production documents.
- Attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Have experience with ERP/MRP systems and production planning tools.
- Can balance big-picture production goals with day-to-day detail management.
- Thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with changing priorities.
- Possess strong analytical skills to solve problems and anticipate challenges.
