Pratt & Whitney is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Project and Validation Chief to provide technical leadership and discipline oversight within the Mechanical Systems, Externals & Nacelles (MSEN) organization in East Hartford, Connecticut. In this role, you will focus on mentoring engineers, maintaining technical quality, supporting validation and verification activities, and driving continuous improvement across the discipline
What You Will Do:
- Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentorship to MSEN engineering team members, supporting professional development and strengthening technical capabilities.
- Review and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and technical rigor of discipline deliverables while maintaining compliance with engineering standards and program requirements.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the MSEN discipline by identifying opportunities, implementing best practices, and advancing engineering processes and technical capabilities.
- Support and provide technical oversight for validation and verification of MSEN hardware, including test, analysis, and certification-related activities.
- Coordinate across engineering and program organizations to maintain high technical standards, support program execution, and effectively manage multiple priorities.
Travel Requirement: 5% | Domestic, International

Qualifications You Must Have:
- A University Degree and 12 years of relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and 10 years relevant experience. Relevant experience with mechanical systems hardware, validation and verification activities including testing, analysis, and certification, engineering team mentorship and development, project processes and technical reviews, and cross-functional engineering and program coordination.

Mechanical Systems, Externals, & Nacelles (MSEN): MSEN Engineering organization is responsible for the design, development, and in-service support of power transmission systems, bearing compartment and rotor support design and analysis, oil and thermal management systems, engine externals packaging and architecture, as well as nacelles for commercial and military engine models. Technical disciplines include Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, Product Definition, System Modeling, Mechanical Design analysis for bearings, gears, and seals, and fluid-thermal modeling of associated components and systems.

- Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
