Our team in Woburn, MA has a Senior Program Quality Lead position available supporting the Ground Based Surveillance portfolio, including the Early Warning program families, as part of the Global Sensors and Missions Systems Sub-Strategic Business Unit within the Air and Space Defense Systems Strategic Business Unit of Raytheon. This onsite position is critical to ensuring product reliability, compliance with quality standards, and ongoing support throughout the full product lifecycle, including production and sustainment.
What You Will Do
- Lead quality planning and execution for a program or multiple programs.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to implement quality strategies and drive improvement.
- Evaluate designs, specifications, testing plans, methods, and equipment to ensure product reliability and compliance with quality standards.
- Conduct engineering work product reviews, including Peer Reviews, Configuration Control Boards, Drawing Reviews, Design Reviews, Product Readiness, and Sales to identify and eliminate in-phase defects.
- Support Configuration Control Boards (CCB), Risk/Opportunity Management Boards (ROMB), and Material Review Boards (MRB).
- Assess design and manufacturing trade-offs using DFMEA, DFMA, and PFMEA to identify risks or opportunities.
- Perform process walks and use metrics and data to drive measurable quality improvements.
- Apply technical expertise to support root cause analysis (RCA), corrective actions, and closed-loop process improvements to enhance quality and reliability.
- Participate in occasional travel opportunities (<10%).
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or 3 years of experience with an advanced degree.
- Experience reading and interpreting hardware drawings, product specifications, and/or verification methods.
- Experience in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive action implementation.
- Experience analyzing data, using metrics, and/or driving process improvements.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience in manufacturing engineering, with insight into common manufacturing challenges and potential quality risk areas.
- Experience working with the product lifecycle, from initial design through sustainment.
- Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and AS9145.
- Experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
- Experience with Risk & Opportunity evaluation and Management Boards (ROMB).
- Relevant certifications, including Six Sigma, CORE, Shainin Red X, GD&T (ASME GDTP), and/or American Society for Quality (ASQ).
- Experience using communication skills, collaborating across teams, and presenting technical concepts.
- Experience exercising professional judgment in decision-making and problem-solving.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
