Raytheon has an opportunity for an experienced Material Program Manager (MPM) who will perform as a key member of the Naval Power Integrated Supply Chain organization. The ideal individual will support, and in some cases, lead Supply Chain Execution, Customer Proposal, and Program Start-up efforts for the Ship Systems Integration & Sustainment (SSIS) portfolio.

You will be the liaison between the program office, engineering, operations, quality, contracts, and finance organizations. The selected candidate is responsible for ensuring the successful development, coordination and of material strategies enabling the execution of SSI programs to meet supply chain, portfolio, and business objectives.

This position is a remote role. The selected candidate will work with the hiring manager to set schedule. Some travel required (up to 25%).

What You Will Do: 

  • Participate in program, IPTL, and supplier meetings as a core SCM member
  • Develop and execute material program plans (MPP) and subcontract management plans
  • Overall ownership of the supplier management process including supplier performance, Supply Chain metrics, Make/Buy Where strategy, strategic agreements
  • Overall ownership of the supplier and finance management process (i.e., Risk/Opportunity, Line of Balance, Metrics, Material sales forecasts)
  • Liaise between the Program Executive, Program Managers, IPTs and the Supply Chain organization
  • Oversee all SCM activities needed to meet program requirements, and ensure a strong link between various Supply Chain functions, including Sourcing, Logistics, and Production Control
  • Proactively address and complete urgent supply chain tasking (Purchase Requisitions integrity, Single/Sole Source Justifications, Supplier Statement of Work (SSOW), Purchase Order follow up
  • Represent the Supply Chain organization on policies, strategies, and objectives
  • Domestic travel not to exceed 20%
  • Implement continuous improvement through CORE, Six Sigma or related Lean methodologies/principals

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
  • 3 years experience in a supply chain role or related role such as Production Control, Operations, Finance or Supplier Engineering
  • Experience working in a cross functional matrixed Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • MPM level 4 certification or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Prime Contract Requirements and Statements of Work (SOW)
  • Experience with Supplier Statements of Work (SOW)
  • Expertise with Supply Chain / Production Control / Procurement processes, Special Access Programs / MRP systems, and requirements management
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
