This role offers a blend of independent initiative and teamwork, collaborating closely with industrial engineers, production personnel, management, and support organizations. Located onsite in Cedar Rapids, IA, you'll play a crucial role in shaping our operational excellence and innovation. What You Will Do:
- Support manufacturing test processes, including test equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, unit failure analysis, and test procedure refinement.
- Conduct studies focused on cost control, productivity, cost reduction, inventory management, and production record systems.
- Review products and processes for quality, safety, and producibility risks, collaborating with design teams to incorporate changes that mitigate these risks.
- Manage moderately sized projects or processes effectively.
- Independently identify and resolve complex and challenging problems.
- Develop tactical plans to address and overcome day-to-day challenges.
- Occasionally travel to local regional sites in Iowa as required.
What You Will Learn:

- Learning how to function as a manufacturing electrical engineer, supporting various high-frequency communication radios and circuit board test processes.
- Gaining hands-on experience with engineering tools used in the build and testing of Datalinks radios, such as SAP, engineering drawings, change control boards, OCKMS, eView, and PDM.
- Acquiring knowledge of standard work tools and processes.
- Exploring significant growth and development opportunities to prepare for future roles.
- Developing essential communication and collaboration skills critical for success in this role.
- Building leadership skills through practical, on-the-job experiences.
- Participating in various on-the-job training sessions and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar engineering program for the duration of the co-op session.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Previous co-op or internship experience in manufacturing environments.
- Experience with Root Cause Analysis.
- Proficiency in software debugging.
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing operations.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
