What You Will Do

  • Lead rapid resolution of supplier-caused issues impacting the factory through analytical problem solving, cross-functional collaboration, and clear communication.
  • Manage supplier quality performance through prevention, monitoring/escalation processes, and review of nonconforming material.
  • Analyze supplier non-conformances and develop effective corrective and preventive action plans addressing systemic issues.
  • Perform & coordinate Source Inspection
  • Investigate supplied material issues to ensure defect documentation, root cause analysis, and corrective solutions are fully and accurately implemented.
  • Manage supplier onboarding, source inspection, and qualification/certification activities.
  • Support escape management processes, driving RCCA, problem solving, and recommending corrective/preventive actions for systemic supplier process issues.
  • Analyze supplier quality data to identify systemic issues and develop supplier-specific quality strategies utilizing PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow, SPC, and other quality tools.
  • Apply multiple communication and influencing styles to gain alignment with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Build effective cross-functional teamwork, adapting working styles to changing priorities.
  • Support overall Collins Aerospace supplier programs to ensure healthy continuous improvement and long-term sustainability.
  • Assist with quarantine, containment, and screening of suspect defective hardware when required.

  • How digital enterprise systems (SAP, PRISM, supplier portals, quality data systems) fit into Collins workflows for material movement, inspection, and defect management.
  • High‑impact communication and influencing techniques used within Collins to engage suppliers, gain alignment, and drive adherence to quality and delivery requirements.
  • How to operate effectively within a global aerospace supply base while meeting Collins requirements for product quality, risk reduction, and supplier performance excellence.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) methodologies.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
  • 6+ years of experience in a supply chain or supplier operations environment (monitoring, auditing, developing suppliers) or equivalent.
  • U.S. citizenship required.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Background in electronics, mechanical hardware inspection, or interpretation of engineering drawings.
  • Experience in DoD product environments including requirements, build, integration, test, and delivery.
  • High computer proficiency with SAP/PRISM, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage internal teams, external suppliers, and leadership.
  • IPC standards certification.
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in engineering or a related technical field (equivalent work experience considered).
  • ASQ certifications (CQE, CQA, CSQE, CRE, etc.).

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
