Fan Military structures team is seeking an established Engineering professional with desire to work Structures Analysis Processes. Experience in commercial and military Fan, Low Pressure Compressor, and High Pressure Compressor analysis is a plus. If you have relevant structures background or experience in these areas and possess the skills and motivation to bring new ideas into practice, we would like to hear from you.

What You Will Do

  • Structures support across all phases of the design cycle, concept initiation & optimization, preliminary through detailed structures, development, validation, certification, manufacturing, and operational service.
  • Conducts structures analysis on components and/or assemblies, when required, to ensure that designs are cost efficient, manufacturable, and reliable.
  • Identify structural risks within work of moderate scope to ensure project completion.
  • Help with new products and processes and improves and maintains existing products to help create better products or processes and ensure that the current and future needs of the business are met.
  • Perform Finite Element Analysis with tools including Ansys and Teamcenter Simcenter.
  • Complete multidisciplinary task and/or work closely with other Cold Section Engineering disciplines(Design, Heat Transfer, Structures, and Aero).
  • Candidates must be willing to work in an on-site environment.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 2+ years of experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • M.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering
  • Mechanical Structures engineering experience
  • Proficiency in Teamcenter/Simcenter, Ansys, and classical methods of analysis
  • Candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in static hardware structural assessments.

Compression Systems Engineering (CSE)

Compression Systems Engineering is responsible for the design, development, and in service support of all fans low-pressure and high-pressure compressors for commercial and military engine models. CSE is responsible for the identification and maturation of new technologies for these products.

Technical disciplines in CSE include Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, and Product Definition.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
