At Raytheon, the foundation of everything we do is rooted in our values and a higher calling – to help our nation and allies defend freedoms and deter aggression. We bring the strength of more than 100 years of experience and renowned engineering expertise to meet the needs of today’s mission and stay ahead of tomorrow’s threat. Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.

The Effector Subsystems Products (ESP) department develops advanced electronics for cutting‑edge weapon system applications. We engage from the earliest stages of system development and follow our designs through integration, test, deployment, and long‑term sustainment. Our electronics are fielded worldwide—from ground-based platforms to exoatmospheric and space environments—and play a critical role in ensuring reliable, high‑performance operation for the warfighter.

In this role, the selected candidate will contribute to the architecture, analysis, modeling, and documentation of complex electrical systems within missile products. This position is highly interdisciplinary and involves close collaboration with systems, mechanical, software, firmware, and other electrical engineering groups. At a high level, you will support the development and maintenance of behavioral and mixed‑signal system models, contribute to system-level timelines and requirements decomposition, assist with model integration into broader system architectures, and participate in simulation, verification, and model‑to‑hardware correlation activities. The ideal candidate brings experience in electronics design, integration, or test, familiarity with electrical simulation environments, and a willingness to engage in both detailed technical analysis and cross-functional system engineering.

What You Will Do

  • Develop & maintain behavioral/mixed-signal electrical system models

  • Develop & maintain system electronics timelines

  • Set up, execute, & debug model simulations (time‑domain/transient, frequency-domain, fault‑injection, parametric sweeps, etc.)

  • Perform basic model vs. measured data correlation

  • Contribute to reusable modeling libraries

  • Collaborate with senior engineers to integrate models into larger system architectures & verification plans

  • Support the decomposition of system-level requirements into subsystem & component level requirements

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelors Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience

  • Experience in design, integration, and/or test of electronics

  • Experience simulating electronics in any electrical simulation environment (SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, SaberRD, etc.)

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret U.S. security clearance

  • Experience interacting across engineering disciplines (e.g. Systems, Mechanical, Software, Firmware, other EE disciplines, etc.) to capture & define subsystem behavior & requirements.

  • Familiarity with electrical lab test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, signal generators, frequency response analyzers, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, etc.

  • Familiarity with real‑world electrical system issues (e.g. PHY mismatches, power quality, EMI/EMC, signal integrity, etc.)

  • Familiarity in weapon systems electronics and common electronics related MIL-STDs

  • Experience simulating electronics in SaberRD

  • Experience with VHDL-AMS and/or MAST

  • Familiarity with SysML modeling in CAMEO or similar system modeling environments

  • Familiarity with version control (Git), requirements management, & configuration control.
