What You Will Do

The compressor aerodynamics group is looking for talented engineering students to work within the compressor aero discipline dealing with fan and compressor component aerodynamic design.

As a Compressor Aerodynamics Intern at Pratt & Whitney you will......

  • Perform compressor aerodynamic analysis in support of design of airfoils and flow-paths
  • Support closure of key technical issues
  • Work in teams with other engineers to improve technical capability

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship session.
  • Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship session. 
  • Internship, co-op, or project experience related to engineering analysis, design, testing, manufacturing, or systems development.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA Cumulative GPA

Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Completed coursework in thermodynamics and fluid mechanics
  • Experience with heat transfer
  • Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
