We are looking for a Senior Manufacturing Specialist to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. The role serves as the primary manufacturing operations leader for assigned production areas, providing hands-on technical leadership, production support, and manufacturing process ownership. Acting as the de facto manufacturing engineering representative on the factory floor, this individual is responsible for driving process stability, resolving complex production issues, supporting operators and supervisors, and ensuring production schedules are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
This role requires a highly experienced manufacturing professional who combines strong technical troubleshooting capabilities with leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. The Senior Manufacturing Specialist is often the first point of contact for manufacturing-related challenges and is expected to independently lead issue resolution efforts, coordinate cross-functional support, and serve as the single-threaded manufacturing support lead during critical production situations. This role will report to the Senior Manager, Manufacturing Engineering and based in Newark, DE. This is a fully on-site, in office role working Weekend Shift hours (Friday - Sunday, 6AM-6PM).
Role and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary manufacturing support lead for designated production lines or value streams.
- Provide technical leadership and direction to operators, team leads, and supervisors on manufacturing-related issues.
- Provide direct hands-on process support to manufacturing lines to ensure daily production targets are achieved.
- Support recovery plans and drive execution to minimize downtime and maximize production output.
- Promote consistency and repeatability across lines, shifts and production teams.
- Develop practical containment actions while driving permanent corrective solutions.
- Provide concise and actionable turnover reports that enable seamless continuation of troubleshooting and recovery activities.
Skills and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2-4 years of related experience in high-complexity production environment; welding experience is preferred.
- 2+ years in a leadership role.
- Computer systems knowledge including proficiency with MS Office programs.
- Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing, assembly operations, or production environments.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and practical troubleshooting skills.
- Demonstrated success resolving production issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to interpret designs to fixtures and tools preferred.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing methods, and TIG welding techniques preferred.
- Highly motivated self-starter, capable of self-management with little to no oversight.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and tact needed to interact with all levels in the plant.
Physical Requirements:
- Flexibility to work on any of the shifts, or in any area of the plant, based on production needs.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods on solid surfaces.
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment in designated areas.
- Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment.

Salary Ranges:
$74,600.00 - $107,400.00
