Job Summary:
Responsible for various maintenance duties that may include the following as qualified and as assigned; maintaining all forklifts including light mechanical duties, battery care and any other duties necessary to maintain forklifts, maintain pallet racks including repair, replacing damaged racks, and constructing new racks, maintain pallets as needed, general building maintenance. Perform all additional tasks or priorities assigned on a day to day “as needed” basis in accordance with direction given.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance to production and warehouse departments as needed.
- Drive industrial lift equipment as needed
- Perform mechanical duties as qualified and assigned on warehouse equipment, machinery, conveyors, racks and forklifts
- Supply main offices with paper and light mechanical duties as qualified and assigned
- Perform general building maintenance to include, drywall, painting, minor plumbing, etc.
- Report potential problems to the Facilities Manager promptly
- Participate in physical inventories as needed
- Fulfill responsibilities under ISO 9001 and 14001, understand and fully support ISO system.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Understand and follow company rules and regulations.
- Perform all other duties as assigned or required
Education and Minimum Qualifications:
- Basic mechanical/electrical ability a plus
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment requiring continuous walking and standing.
- Must be certified on industrial lift equipment
- Good troubleshooting skills is a plus
- Good written and oral communication skills, must be able to read, write and understand English
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work at heights of over 25 feet.
Schedule:
2nd shift 3:00pm to 11:30pm Monday through Friday (Occasional overtime required)
