Role Overview
Beehive Industries is searching for a qualified candidate to fill an open position for a Senior Machinist. This role is intended for an experienced machinist who can independently set up and operate CNC equipment to machine precision components from billet and metal 3D printed materials. The ideal candidate is a self-driven professional with strong technical expertise, capable of executing complex machining work with limited supervision while contributing to continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Do...
Independently setup and run 3-axis and 5-axis CNC vertical machining centers and CMM equipment
Develop and optimize machining fixtures for complex aerospace components
Support quoting of machining work for internal and external customers
Maintain accurate and detailed production records, setup sheets, and machining documentation
Ensure work area cleanliness and organization in alignment with 5S standards
Identify opportunities to improve machining processes, efficiency, and quality
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on shop equipment as needed
Identify EH&S hazards, risks, and controls within machine shop operations and ensure proper mitigation
Ensure full compliance with EHS, quality systems, and manufacturing standards
Select and allocate tooling for machining jobs and ensure readiness for production
Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve machining and production issues

Education
High school diploma or equivalent experience
Formal technical or trade training in machining or manufacturing preferred
Experience
5 or more years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience independently setting up and operating CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines
Experience with blueprint reading, GD&T, and dimensional inspection techniques
Experience machining complex components such as castings, forgings, or additive (3D printed) parts preferred
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of CNC machining principles and manufacturing processes
Ability to independently read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements
Proficiency with machining measurement tools and inspection methods
Strong attention to detail with a focus on precision, quality, and repeatability
Effective problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machining issues independently
Strong communication and teamwork skills in a production environment
Ability to work safely and follow established procedures with minimal oversight
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Nice to have...
Experience operating 5-axis, 4-axis, and 3-axis machining centers, CNC lathes, and mill-turn equipment
Experience operating CNC equipment from manufacturers such as DMG MORI, Makino, Haas, Mazak, or DN Solutions/Doosan
Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or other regulated quality systems
Exposure to machining Heat Resistant Super Alloys, including nickel-based alloys
Experience machining complex aerospace components or metal 3D printed parts
Experience supporting process improvement or continuous improvement initiatives
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout a manufacturing facility for extended periods
Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 45 pounds
Frequently use hands and fingers to operate machinery, tools, and computer equipment
Occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, and reach overhead
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment requiring PPE and strict safety compliance
Frequent use of computers and electronic devices for documentation, programming, and communication
