Role Overview

The Lead Procurement Analyst- NPI, Tooling, and Shop Supplies is responsible for sourcing, purchasing and managing the supply of materials, tooling, and equipment required to support new product introduction (NPI) and manufacturing operations. This role partners closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, Program Management, and Supply Chain to ensure materials and services are available on time and meet technical, quality, cost, and delivery requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a deep understanding of procurement processes and systems, is highly organized, and comfortable working in a fast paced environment. This role will manage suppliers from initial sourcing and quotation through purchase order placement, delivery, and ongoing supplier performance.

What You'll Do...

· Support the development and execution of sourcing strategies through data analysis and with close alignment to Manufacturing Programs and Engineering team stakeholders

· Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations for prototype, development, and production requirements.

· Source materials, components, tooling, and services required to support NPI schedules.

· Monitor supplier lead times and proactively identify risks to program milestones.

· Coordinate first-time buys, prototype purchases, engineering samples, and production transition requirements.

· Support make/buy analysis and supplier selection activities as needed.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, Finance, Legal, Operations) to identify and address procurement system requirements and opportunities for improvement

· Establish appropriate stocking levels, reorder points, and replenishment processes for critical shop supplies.

· Identify opportunities to consolidate suppliers, standardize products, reduce costs, and improve availability.

· Develop and maintain supplier relationships for frequently purchased materials and consumables.

· Expedite hardware as needed to meet schedules including logistical support of hardware moving between sites and vendors

· Work with suppliers to resolve shortages, late deliveries, quality issues, and other performance concerns.

· Ensure purchasing activities comply with applicable company policies, customer requirements, and quality standards.

You have...

· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus

· At least 5-7 years relevant experience in procurement, sourcing, buying, and / or inventory planning in a technical purchasing role

· Strong understanding of procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and supplier management

· Able to liaison with outside vendors, clear verbal and written communications

· Experience working in aerospace or industrial industries and knowledge of government compliance regulations for sourcing processes

· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional relationships effectively

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is $138,000-$157,000 base salary.  Please note that wage information is a general guideline only, and we will consider factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, and market conditions when extending an offer.
