Job Summary:
The
Electrical
Engineer
III
is a
n experienced
contributor who works highly independently and uses
established procedures to perform assigned tasks by working cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Suppliers and Customers. Provide engineering
design and analysis
services for
DC/DC power converters and filters for space and Hi-rel
iability
applications
.
R
esponsibility for technical proposals,
requirements management,
detailed architecture of topology and control,
detailed circuit design and analyses (including familiarity with
part selection and design
concepts associated with radiation hardened / tolerant
circuitry
),
p
roduct performance
, customer presentations, schedule, and cost requirements. Will have expert knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures of assigned product or program. May lead a team of engineers on assigned projects.
Essential Functions:
M
odel and simulate circuit or system performance
of dc-dc power converters and filters
using analytical tools
Detailed design and analysis of discrete implementation of power converter control circuitry that is resistant to performance degra
dation due to radiation effects
Filte
r modeling, analysis and design
System integration, test and development of
DC power conversion hardware for spac
eflight and Hi-Rel applications
In
vestigate
andevaluate new
power topologies and control
for spaceflight applications
Work with interdisciplinary teams to
ensure
that the designs meet the customers’
electrical, environmental as well as internal manufacturing requirements and standardsSupport inte

Minimum Qualifications:
Experience
:
5
+ years of experience
with microelectronic dc-dc
power conversionand control system
design
, including knowledge of radiation effects on components and circuits.
Experience with high reliability hardwaredesignfrom conceptual design throughproduct
delivery.

modeling tools (I.e.,
Symetrix, Simplis

Ansys
Maxwell, Mathcador
equivalent software
Knowledge

Salary range: $137,036.35 - 161,548.00.
Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
