JOB DETAILS:
Location: Santa Clara, CA, USA
Onsite/Hybrid: This role requires the student to work full time (40 hours a week), in either a hybrid or onsite work structure throughout the duration of the co-op/intern term
Duration:
Summer 2027 InternshipSemester Schools: May 24, 2027 – August 13, 2027
Quarter Schools: June 21, 2027 – September 10, 2027
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: We are seeking highly motivated AI Research Technical Program Manager intern/co-op to join our team. In this role –
Support research roadmaps, milestones, experiment schedules, and dependency tracking.
Coordinate datasets, evaluation systems, compute requirements, and deliverables across teams.
Organize experiment reviews, decision records, and follow-up actions.
Track benchmark performance, reproducibility, stability, risks, and blockers.
Support GPU capacity planning and experiment prioritization.
Prepare concise program updates for technical and leadership audiences.
Document requirements and evaluation criteria for research-to-engineering handoffs.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Currently pursuing a PhD in a technical or related field.
Foundational understanding of machine learning, reinforcement learning, generative AI, or ML systems.
Experience coordinating technical projects through coursework, research, internships, or extracurricular activities.
Ability to manage ambiguous work and collaborate with researchers and engineers.
Experience with AI research, machine-learning, or software-engineering projects is a plus.
Familiarity with LLM post-training, RLHF, preference optimization, reward modeling, or AI agents is a plus.
