THE ROLE:
This Diagnostics Program management position is responsible for driving the schedule, logistics and overall program success of a product engineering team. The ideal candidate is a phenomenal teammate with a dedication to meeting ambitious timelines. You have a passion for Product Engineering and a desire to dive into technical areas outside of your expertise to pull the team past blockers.
THE PERSON:
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong motivation, flexibility, and a proven record of meeting aggressive program deadlines, working with demanding customers as well as the ability to work with global cross functional teams. The Diagnostics PM is responsible to drive a global team that architect, design, develop and debug diagnostics to produce on time release for our consumers. The PM will work with internal AMD Product Engineering, Silicon teams, Platform teams and NDA customers to establish schedules, mitigate risk, manage progress, and report status.
In this capacity the candidate is expected to work with teams across the company that ensure dependency deliverables are met so that the functional collaboration is not blocked or delayed. Depending on the scope & size of the program assignment, the role may include managing more than one program at any given time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communicate with design team, internal users, and customers to understand and define the diagnostic, debug, and validation tool software requirements.
Work with functional technical leads to investigate project roadmaps and product technical documents to understand software impact. Translate these requirements/impacts into executable plans.
Manage development plans to deliver on time and manage customer driven change requests and/or found tasks without impacting critical committed deliverables.
Deliver reports and presentations to technical leadership and key stakeholders
Be accountable on time delivery of deliverables. Meet deadlines and an aptitude to thrive in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment
Resolve ambiguity and adapts the teams to changes in a dynamic environment.
Lead program budgeting and device expense planning
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Proven experience in commercial software program management, project planning, and prior leadership experience
Solid knowledge of the software development lifecycle required and agile development methodologies.
Experience working with offshore peer teams and customers.
Experience in coordinating horizontally across multiple internal functional organizations
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
