Mechanical Engineering Intern

The Mechanical Engineering Intern will work under the guidance of Mechanical Engineers on the Resuscitation R&D Team, focusing on design, build, and testing activities for new and existing products. The position requires enrollment in an undergraduate degree program and runs from May 2026 through August 2026.

• Create new designs and modify existing designs using SolidWorks
• Conduct studies and comparisons of existing geometry to confirm design modifications
• Develop SolidWorks assemblies, models, and drawing packages from concept sketches
• Design and develop test fixtures
• Execute product testing plans and analyze data to verify new product designs
• Prototype usability concepts for evaluation and testing
• Handle confidential information with discretion

• Proficiency with SolidWorks required; Certified SolidWorks Associate preferred
• Experience with Rapid Prototyping/3D printing is a plus
• Familiarity with testing, test equipment, and data collection is beneficial
• Minimum two years of study in a Bachelor of Science Mechanical Engineering program with excellent academic standing
