Responsibilities

  • Develop production, development, test, integration, and manufacturing tooling for Blue Engines and New Glenn.
  • Integrate mechanical design concepts and principles across various projects.
  • Interpret and apply design and drafting standards for creating drawings.
  • Address technical design challenges for assembly fixtures and custom machines.
  • Collaborate with component designers and manufacturing engineers for optimal project metrics.
  • Manage projects including vendor selection, fabrication, and commissioning of tooling.
  • Maintain schedules and budgets for project completion.

Job Requirements

  • B.S. degree in any Engineering field from an accredited institution.
  • 3+ years of experience in designing and commissioning tooling and fixtures.
  • Proficiency in CAD and FEA software (Creo and ANSYS Workbench preferred).
  • Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA).
  • Understanding of manufacturing materials, GD&T, and tolerance analysis.
  • Familiarity with common manufacturing processes and machines.
  • Experience with custom machine design components (motors, actuators, etc.).
