Responsibilities
- Drive requirement specification
- Conduct feasibility studies
- Perform conceptual and detailed design using 3D solid modeling (ProE/Creo)
- Conduct analysis (fluid, thermal, vibrational, FEA modeling)
- Understand Geometric Tolerancing (GD&T) and perform detailed tolerance stack-up analysis
- Hold design reviews and manage prototype assembly and testing
- Collaborate with other engineering groups and suppliers to ensure design requirements are met
Job Requirements
- In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, welding, sheet metal forming, 3D printing)
- Basic knowledge of precision machine design and vacuum systems
- Solid understanding of mechanics, fluid flow, and heat transfer
- Experience in 3D solid modeling (Creo or Solidworks preferred)
- Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt in the fast-paced semiconductor industry
- Minimum qualifications: Doctorate, Master's (2 years experience), or Bachelor's (3 years experience)
