Responsibilities
- Design and analyze mechanical systems, equipment, and packaging.
- Conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs.
- Create detailed part and assembly drawings.
- Write test, alignment, manufacturing procedures, and service manuals.
- Develop and build test stands to demonstrate designs meet requirements.
- Provide solutions for structural and system dynamics for precision mechanisms.
- Perform hand calculations and computer simulations to verify functionality of parts and mechanisms.
Job Requirements
- Understanding of physics and mechanics.
- Ability to generate component or assembly level concepts for complex mechanical systems.
- Experience in high-level mechanical design, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with mechanical manufacturing processes (machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding).
- Proficiency in 3D solid modeling CAD, preferably ProE/Creo.
- Desirable experience in semiconductor equipment, precision mechanisms, and vacuum systems.
- Relevant educational qualifications (Doctorate, Master's, or Bachelor's with related experience).
