Responsibilities
- Design, build, and run electro-mechanical testers for critical components.
- Create test setups according to engineering specifications.
- Utilize CAD tools for designing parts and assemblies.
- Develop concepts and evaluate tradeoffs using a first principles approach.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams and suppliers.
- Conduct root cause analysis for failures and replicate failure modes.
- Document work for clarity and understanding.
Job Requirements
- Experience in designing and building mechatronics systems outside of the classroom.
- Solid mechanical engineering fundamentals.
- Automation experience with actuators and Raspberry Pi’s.
- Proficiency in CAD with multiple project designs.
- Ability to adapt and change direction when necessary.
- Strong communication skills and a bias to action.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving.
