Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a team of hardware engineers and CAD designers responsible for the design and performance of thermal batteries.
- Lead team growth by hiring and allocating resources for multiple design projects.
- Support hardware development for subsystems and components through various design phases.
- Lead initiatives focused on cost reduction, reliability, and testing.
- Mentor junior team members both technically and non-technically.
- Maintain a strong and healthy team culture.
- Evaluate systems-level architectural decisions for key trade-offs.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar with 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience managing a technical team through product development cycles.
- Strong CAD experience and knowledge of engineering drawing best practices.
- Professional experience with finite element analysis (FEA) software.
- Proven experience in developing and delivering hardware products.
- Proficiency in designing for common manufacturing processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
