Responsibilities
- Develop concepts and evaluate tradeoffs based on product and engineering requirements.
- Use 2D and 3D CAD tools to design parts and assemblies.
- Design, build, and test prototypes to gather insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review designs.
- Design and run electro-mechanical testers to ensure reliability.
- Root cause failures and develop tests to replicate failure modes.
- Document work to facilitate understanding of key decisions made.
Job Requirements
- Completed at least the second year of Undergraduate studies; Masters and PhD students eligible.
- Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals for sizing parts and integration.
- Experience with automation and working with actuators and Raspberry Pi's.
- Proficiency in CAD and experience designing multiple projects.
- Background in complex projects requiring mechanical, electrical, and software design.
- Ability to adapt and communicate effectively within a team.
- Strong problem-solving attitude and commitment to meeting project goals.
