Responsibilities
- Design and develop automated weather monitoring systems for mission decisions.
- Define requirements for flyable weather conditions to meet business goals.
- Set simulation and validation strategies for weather system performance.
- Communicate effectively with customer and operations teams regarding system uptime.
- Drive development of sensing technologies for risk calculations.
- Lead and develop a small team focused on weather systems.
- Prioritize and manage the roadmap for weather-related projects.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 5+ years of industry experience, with leadership experience preferred.
- Proficiency in scientific Python and data analysis libraries.
- Familiarity with geospatial and meteorological datasets and tools.
- Strong understanding of statistics, machine learning, and data visualization.
- Excellent knowledge of meteorology and climatology.
- Self-directed with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with aviation weather and regulations is a plus.
