Responsibilities
- Conduct vehicle design analysis including aerodynamics, propulsion, and power system performance.
- Perform low- and high-fidelity analytical modeling of vehicle subsystems and behaviors.
- Generate aerodynamic databases and analyze flight behaviors.
- Plan, execute, and analyze experiments, including wind tunnel and flight tests.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to tackle design challenges.
- Utilize various tools for aerodynamic modeling and simulations.
- Assist in data analysis and troubleshooting during tests.
Job Requirements
- Currently studying fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, flight physics, or aeronautical engineering.
- Strong understanding of relevant technical content.
- Familiarity with aerodynamic modeling codes and computational fluid dynamics tools.
- Experience with wind tunnel testing and flight test planning.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, or C/C++.
- Knowledge of CAD tools for advanced surfacing.
- Willingness to work in-person at the South San Francisco office.
