Responsibilities
- Support in event analysis for outages by analyzing lightning correlation.
- Perform short circuit modeling tasks for new assets and retired equipment processing.
- Assist in laboratory testing of relays for firmware updates and protection scheme verification.
- Conduct short-circuit coordination for distribution feeder relays using software.
- Manage the protective relay database, including running queries and verifying materials.
- Shadow engineers in day-to-day tasks to gain practical experience.
- Analyze lightning data for event outages.
Job Requirements
- Current student with Sophomore status or higher, pursuing an engineering degree.
- Enrollment in an ABET accredited college or university.
- Ability to commute to the corporate office in Denver, CO.
- Availability to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours/week).
- Preferred GPA of 2.8 or higher.
- Completed 1 year of undergraduate coursework including basic circuits.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets.
