Responsibilities

  • Support analysis of event outages by examining lightning correlation.
  • Conduct short circuit modeling tasks for new assets and equipment.
  • Assist in laboratory testing of relays for firmware updates.
  • Perform short-circuit coordination for distribution feeder relays.
  • Manage protective relay database, including running queries.
  • Shadow engineers in daily tasks to gain practical experience.
  • Learn to test equipment in a lab environment.

Job Requirements

  • Current student with Sophomore status or higher in an ABET accredited engineering program.
  • Ability to commute to the corporate office in Denver, CO.
  • Availability to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours per week).
  • Preferred GPA of 2.8 or higher.
  • Completion of 1 year of undergraduate coursework, including basic circuits.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets.
  • Willingness to adapt to hybrid working conditions post-internship.
