Responsibilities

  • Support in event analysis for outages by analyzing lightning correlation.
  • Perform short circuit modeling tasks for new assets and retired equipment processing.
  • Assist in laboratory testing of relays for firmware updates and protection scheme verification.
  • Conduct short-circuit coordination for distribution feeder relays using software.
  • Manage the protective relay database, including running queries and verifying materials.
  • Shadow engineers in day-to-day tasks to gain practical experience.
  • Analyze lightning data for event outages.

Job Requirements

  • Current student with Sophomore status or higher, pursuing an engineering degree.
  • Enrollment in an ABET accredited college or university.
  • Ability to commute to the corporate office in Denver, CO.
  • Availability to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours/week).
  • Preferred GPA of 2.8 or higher.
  • Completed 1 year of undergraduate coursework including basic circuits.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets.
